As we go through our hectic and stressful lives, it is easy to forget that we are surrounded by beauty. Photography is my reminder. Not only does my work allow me to capture and preserve the often fleeting qualities of my surroundings, but the process of creating photographs also facilitates in me a constant appreciation of what I see on an everyday basis. For this reason, I prefer objects and scenes from my daily living environments as subjects. Whether I notice a captivating composition in passing or go, camera in hand, in search of one, it is both reassuring to remember that beauty exists in the most ordinary places and satisfying to document it.
About Me
I am a recent graduate of Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin with a degree in International Relations and Modern Languages (German, Japanese). I'm now living in Dresden, Germany, where I work as an English Teaching Assistant.
I have a long-standing interest in both digital and film photography and have also shown graphite and acrylic work.
